The KTM manual calls for 18mm of spring pre-load which seems to be excessive IMHO. The front forks seem to have a closer spring rate but also have very stiff valving resulting in a very harsh action. Maybe a suspension tuner will offer some info as what is wrong with the valving on this bike!!!
