Starting in Guild Wars 2 is very shiny, colorful and interesting, but if you are into progression you might be turned down. It is in many ways more moba-ish than mmorpg as progression towards gear is more for the looks than stats which i did not mind and unlocking stuff was fun anyhow. So we're lead to believe this game is free to play, but in reality its just another piece of crap trial version that pushes the "Buy our expansions" in your face 24/7, no matter what you try to do. You have limited access to trading post, no access to mounts, etc. The restrictions are mostly qol and not having access to living stories or expansions.
